Siyue graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree from the University of Melbourne in December 2010. She then obtained a Second Upper in a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) from the University of Leicester in July 2014. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in July 2016.
Prior to joining the firm, Siyue worked in one of the “Big Four” accounting firms in Singapore. While there, she gained valuable work experience in accounting and audit procedure and practices in Singapore.
Siyue’s legal practice encompasses both contentious and non-contentious work. Siyue has assisted in complex disputes heard at various levels of the Singapore Courts, involving matters relating to company and shareholders’ disputes, banking and securities claims and insolvency law. In addition to her skill-sets as a legal practitioner, her training and experience in accounting and finance has enabled her to provide value-added input on various aspects of tax compliance, including income, corporate and property tax.
Hailing from a family whose business is based in China, Siyue is fluent in business English, Mandarin and Shanghainese. She is able to engage and work with Chinese clients based within and outside China and by leveraging on her knowledge of the legal and business landscape in China. This she gained while doing legal attachments at major Chinese law firms and companies.
