Nathaniel Tan
Senior Associate
Advocate & Solicitor Singapore
LL.B. (Hons), University of Birmingham
“Like an anchor, Nathaniel was there to ground me during a very emotionally and financially difficult time, when I was facing daily an onslaught of increasingly unreasonable demands by from my ex-partner. He was able to objectively assess the situation at hand and sagely advise me on actions that were within my legal right to help diffuse and resolve it. I appreciate the calm, patient and professional demeanour he was able to maintain throughout a rather chaotic, precarious time in my life. (September 2024)”
“I will always be grateful to you for your thorough and careful approach to the case. You were meticulous in your research and provided detailed advice to me when I needed it … I always felt like you took the time to address the questions I had. Thank you for all the time, effort and advice. (26 August 2023)”
Nathaniel graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) in 2019 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2021.
Nathaniel specialises in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious family law matters. He has acted as lead counsel and assisted on complex matrimonial disputes involving cross-jurisdictional issues over child custody, maintenance, division of assets and family violence. He also has substantial experience in contentious and non-contentious estate matters, trust disputes, applications under the Mental Capacity Act and estate planning.
Nathaniel is an accredited mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and has been appointed to the SMC Panel of Associate Mediators.
