Laurence Wee graduated from the University of Buckingham in 1981 (LLB. Hons) and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1982. Subsequently in December 1983, he was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and has been in legal practice for over 31 years.

As a founding partner, Laurence established the law firm of Wee, Ramayah & Partners in 1984. He remained as its managing partner from 1984 until its merger with Quahe Woo & Palmer LLC in 2015.

During his years of practice Laurence has acquired extensive experience in the field of conveyancing and he has acted for clients in the sale, purchase and financing of numerous commercial buildings and hotels, En-Bloc sales of residential housing developments, tenders for URA land sites and sales of units for several housing developers. His litigation and corporate practice included acting for clients in schemes of arrangements and the sale and purchase of shares. In 1987, he appeared before the Commission of Inquiry held in respect of the collapse of the Hotel New World as counsel for one of the key parties named in the Inquiry.

His practice areas include Banking Law, Conveyancing, Property Law, Corporate Law, Landlord and Tenant Law, Probate & Administration and Litigation. In particular he has over 31 years of experience in Conveyancing, Banking and Corporate Finance.
