Bonnie has over 13 years of experience in corporate real estate work and her main areas of practice include real estate acquisitions and divestments, build-to-suit projects, real estate backed financing and commercial leasing. She has represented multi-national corporations, public listed corporations, property funds, banks and statutory boards on major real estate transactions.
Bonnie graduated from the King’s College London and is admitted to the Singapore Bar. Bonnie is also a facilitator with the Singapore Institute of Legal Education, conducting sessions in Conveyancing at the Preparatory Course leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations (a compulsory course for all law students seeking admission to the Singapore Bar).
Bonnie has been recognised as a Rising Star for Real Estate in Singapore in the Expert Guides – LMG Rising Stars since 2015 and in the Asialaw Client Service Excellence 2020 award.
Significant matters that Bonnie has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:
- M+S (a joint venture between Temasek and Khazanah) in its proposed sale of the office and retail component in Duo, to Allianz Real Estate and Gaw Capital Partners for approximately S$1.6 billion and the hotel component in Duo, to Hoi Hup Realty for S$475 million.
- GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. in connection with the development and lease of a purpose-built building at one-north business park, specifically for use by Grab and its various related entities and serving as Grab’s headquarters.
- Aetos Holdings Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd, in connection with the build-to-suit and lease of a multi-storey building specifically for use by Aetos and its subsidiaries as well as the subsequent acquisition of the completed development thereafter.
- Purchaser managed by property fund, One Tree Partners, in the acquisitions of companies holding 17 strata office units in Prudential Tower.
- TuasOne Pte. Ltd. (a joint venture between Hyflux Ltd and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.) in its project for the construction and development of a waste-to-energy plant including the alienation of the land for the project site and the S$653 million project financing in relation to the project.
- Lend Lease group in a S$919 million development financing to finance the development of Jem, a mixed retail and office development.
- Landlords in the leasing of commercial and retail units in buildings located within the central business district.
