Harold is an Associate Director at Quahe Woo & Palmer LLC. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from King’s College London in 2015 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2017.

Harold’s principal areas of practice are Mergers & Acquisitions, Banking, Finance & Security and Corporate & Commercial Law. He has been involved in both domestic and cross-border transactions involving mergers & acquisitions, strategic joint ventures and corporate financing. Additionally, Harold has also been involved in various matters relating to real estate financing and advised on general corporate matters including corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters.

Some notable deals in which Harold had been involved include acting for:

  • SPCI Group, a privately owned industrial chemical manufacturer, processor and services provider with presence in Singapore and Malaysia, in the sale and 50/50 joint venture with HELM AG, a Hamburg, Germany, based family-owned company established in 1900 and one of the world’s largest chemicals marketing companies.
  • Smart-Gas Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based cross-border industrial gases distributor in the Asia-Pacific region with a fleet of over 300 ISO tanks as well as ISO tubes, in the sale of their shares to AirPower Technologies Limited, the largest independent gases supplier in China by revenue.
  • Empyrion DC Pte. Ltd., a portfolio company of Seraya Partners (a next-generation infrastructure PE fund), in its 2021 acquisition of Dodid Pte. Ltd. which owns and operates a hyper-scale Tier III data centre facility in Singapore.
  • A real estate fund managed by CAPSTONE Asset Management Co., Ltd, in its acquisition from a leading private equity fund of its Singapore-held equity interest in a Korean real estate investment fund company undertaking a mixed use development project in Seoul’s prime business district, for a transaction value of more than US$200 million in 2020.
  • Chip Eng Seng Corporation Ltd (listed on SGX-ST) in its acquisition of a 38% equity interest in Amdon Consulting Pte Ltd for S$5.4 million in 2019.
  • Ekuiti Nasional Berhad (“Ekuinas”), a government backed private equity fund in its acquisition of up to 40.36% of Exabytes Capital Group Sdn Bhd for RM40 million in 2019.
  • International Finance Corporation of the World Bank and Norfund (the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund) in their investment in Yoma Micro Power (S) Pte Ltd, to establish distributed generation micropower plants and mini grids for generating and distributing electricity to rural communities and telecommunications towers in Myanmar.
